SALDRU researcher, Rocco Zizzamia, presented a paper titled, “Poverty dynamics and life trajectories in urban South Africa: A mixed methods investigation”, at the Centre for the Study of African Economies conference, held in Oxford between the 18th and 20th of March 2018. This is joint work with Simone Schotte, of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies. The qualitative fieldwork element of this research project was undertaken in Khayelitsha between July and September 2017 with SALDRU’s support.
