The discussion will be moderated by our very own Pippa Green, who wrote the Introduction to Francis’ book.
Our distinguished speakers:
Moeletsi Mbeki, political analyst, author and entrepreneur. Deputy chair of the SA Institute of international Affairs and chair of KMM Publishing, the publisher of “Black, White and Gold”.
Professor Barney Pityana, theologian, academic, a founder of the Black Consciousness Movement, former chair of the Human Rights Commission, former Vice-Chancellor of UNISA, chair of the National Lotteries Commission, and lifelong friend and associate of Francis Wilson
About the event:
Moeletsi will talk about the book; Barney will reflect on the role Francis has played in the struggle for economic and social justice and as a friend and colleague.
The discussion will be in the form of a conversation with brief inputs from each speaker at the start, followed by questions from Pippa Green and the audience.
The book will be available for purchase at R325 per copy, payment options are either cash or card.
