Estelle is the Strategy Executive for the Western Cape Economic Development Partnership (EDP), a collaborative intermediary organisation based in Cape Town. The EDP facilitates issue-based and area-based partnering solutions, as well as knowledge-sharing and learning, aimed at strengthening grassroots, local, metropolitan and regional development systems and processes. She has enjoyed the challenge at the EDP of working with strategic, multi-organisational and multi-stakeholder teams and communities of practice that grapple with complexity and collaborative implementation by creating spaces for teams to explore, expand and implement mutually beneficial strategic initiatives for social impact.
Estelle has honed her leadership and management experience over the past 30 years in the private sector, academia, independent consulting and the non-profit sector. She has extensive corporate experience in the financial services and telco sectors in South Africa and in the United States where she has managed large change and transformation projects, integrated new products and processes across strategic business units, and facilitated change to unblock relational and process impediments to strategic planning and implementation.
Estelle has a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from UCT and has been the academic director on post-graduate and under-graduate programmes and courses at UCT’s Graduate School of Business, the School of Management Studies, and the Engineering Faculty.
