Patricia Chirwa

Patricia is a research and data consultant within SALDRU working on the Land Restitution Evaluation Study (LRES). She is responsible for managing, designing and developing the study’s administrative data processes and capturing tools. She has been a key member of the team since inception and has held positions in both the technical and advisory committees.

Patricia holds a masters degree in Applied Economics from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is currently  enrolled as a PhD student in the UCT School of Economics with a particular focus on the role of social and spatial dynamics in communities restored through the land restitution programme. Other research interests of Patricia are development microeconomics, social network analysis and behavioral economics.
