Description 

The survey covers two neighbourhoods – Imizamo Yethu and Hout Bay Harbour (Hangberg) – in the suburb of Hout Bay, Cape Town. It was conducted in November and December, 2005. The questionnaire was divided into five sections.

The survey recorded 2617 primary responses and 122 additional respondents. The initial results were published by SALDRU in July 2006 as ‘Migration to Two Neighbourhoods in the Suburb of Hout Bay, Cape Town, 2005: Survey Report and Baseline Information’.
